My eighth annual sketchbook, Wanderings, is now available!
The new collection debuted at NYCC this past weekend (you know what, that show is a great and probably deserves a post all to itself) and I’m pleased to report it was well received.

I do one new series of personal work each year.
End of the year, first of the new year I settle on a theme and then create a new series of work on that theme. It’s usually something like 5 – 10 main new pieces. After planning and developing the new work I take all of the sketches, studies, and prep material and collect them in a book.
Once that’s finished I set the sketchbook aside and go back and make paintings and prints. When I’m done, I’ve now got new originals, new prints, and a brand new sketchbook.

All of it amounts to a yearly portfolio refresh and goes towards promoting the work I want to be doing.
I like to arrange “chapters” within each of my yearly sketchbooks and this new series features,
The Castle
The Forest
The Bear
The Snake
The Bird

Artist Editions of Wanderings (with original drawings on the the title page) are still available!
