I am excited to write about an upcoming event, the Fantastic Arts Conference. Next Spring, in Pleasant Grove, Utah we will hold the first annual version of the event. I will be teaching along with Dan Dos Santos, Justin Gerard and Annie Stegg Gerard.

The conference will last 5 days with a demo and lecture each day, as well as portfolio reviews and career path input.  Each of us will have a painting we are working on throughout the week that will be on display each evening so that attendees can see the progress and ask questions about the process. We will be covering a variety of topics ranging from photography and digital tools, sketching, composition, using social media, selling your artwork, narrative development, multi-media painting and more.

The conference will run in the evenings so that it can be attended by locals after work but also to give time to explore the area of Utah that the conference takes place in. It’s a beautiful part of the country with lots of outdoor activities and beauty. We will be providing a list of things to enrich your time and experience while there.

I think there is a need for a conference like this, especially in the West. The conference is not limited to fantasy art, but will focus on art techniques and career tips that are applicable to most working artists.  I can’t wait to see what Dan, Justin and Annie create and present during the week!

It will run from March 9th- 13th, 2020, 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm each day. To learn more about the conference you can read more on the website. There is also a discount for early registration until November 23rd.

Please share with your friends that you think would benefit! If you have questions feel free to ask them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.
