We are extremely honored and excited to announce that Muddy Colors will be providing a few of our lucky readers with, not one, but TWO SCHOLARSHIPS to the 2018 IMC!
These scholarships include full tuition, a meal plan for all 7 days, and housing right on campus for the entire workshop.
The IMC instructor roster is a who’s who of today’s most influential Artists & Art Directors. This year’s instructors and visiting guests include: Kent Williams, Tara McPherson, Rebecca Leveille-Guay, Greg Manchess, Donato Giancola, Dan dos Santos, Scott Fischer, Julie Bell, Boris Vallejo, Greg Ruth, Irene Gallo, Jeremy Jarvis, Lance Rehs, Marc Scheff, James Gurney & Lauren Panepinto.
The IMC is a 7 day workshop focused on making you a better artist with the help of some of the best illustrators and fine artists in the world. All disciplines (traditional or digital) and skill levels are welcome. Old or young. Novice or pro. Anyone may apply for this scholarship. More info at: http://www.artimc.org

The IMC workshops runs for 7 days, from June 11-17, 2018
All you need to do to apply for the scholarship is fill out this form right here. In this form, you will be asked to provide a link to 5 different pieces of art that you would like submit for consideration. You will also be asked to tell us why you think you would be a good recipient for this scholarship. That’s it! After you fill out the form, you will receive a link via email that will allow you to edit your submission as many times as you want.
- Submit only once. (You can edit your submission as much as you want. But if you submit multiple applications, all of your submissions will be discarded.)
- Make sure the art you link to is in jpg/gif format, and between 800-2000 pixels on the longest side. (If you link us to a PSD, a ridiculously large file, or a non-public file, your entry will be discarded.)
- Make sure you are capable of covering your own travel expenses before applying.
- You have to be 21 years of age or older to attend.
We will stop accepting application at the end of the day, Sunday, April 15th, so don’t delay!
Simply fill out the form below, or follow this direct link: https://goo.gl/forms/KhHnqaTePHw7We3w1

Would linking to a Deviantart page be suffice? I have the option to “Open image in new tab” that gives it’s own link, so it’s public but limited to the image only. Such as this:
Thank you for any help.
Yup, that’s perfect.
I’m sure this is a silly question, but how do you share a link to an image? I’m assuming it’s not as simple as the copy/paste of website addresses.
It is, in fact. Just make sure you’re pasting a link to the image, and not the whole website or a page with multiple images. Just right click on the image you want to gets it’s unique url.
When editing my response if I clicked submit, is that considered two submissions or an edit? I was confused after I just did it and want to make sure I’m not disqualified.
The submit button just resaves it, provided you were actually editing your previous entry, and didn’t create a whole new blank form.
Is IMGUR ok for linking the work samples?
It doesn’t matter where it’s hosted, so long as it’s a link to a single image.
Dumb question, but my image files are usually png, would that be against the guidelines?
The dates are not good for me 🙁 Next year, next year….
Were the winners ever announced? I saw that they would be announced on 4/20 but didn’t see a specific article dedicated to it or see the winners presented on the IMC website. Were they posted yet or no?
We extended the deadline for applications, and thusly the announcement as well. Results should be up in a few days.
Awesome! Thank you for letting me know, Dan. Have a great day
Hi. Were winners ever announced? The site says that on 25 Apr was supposed to be the announcement day and I haven’t heard anything.
Interested in knowing this as well.
We should be posting the results shortly, likely the next day or so. Bear with us!
It’s all good, take your time! I just don’t want to accidentally miss the post 🙂
By all means, please take your time. I also didn’t want to miss anything important.
