Like many artists, I collect folders of inspiring art from around the internet. I want to take a moment to highlight a favorite of mine, Dmitry Belyukin.
Belyukin is a contemporary Russian realist painter of landscapes and historical scenes.
I don’t remember how I first found him, but I know it was when I was searching for inspiration for background painting for illustration.
I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do!

Yes, Russian painters have kept tradition alive and none of this depicts modern life, even the landscapes. But you can see the influence of modern photography!

The farm one really took my breath. The way the treats those trees right next to the river. So beautiful. Must have been a lovely day to be seating in that grass taking the sun <3
It really is evocative isn’t it? Such a sensitivity to the atmosphere and color temperatures, his works really capture the feeling of the season and day in addition to the place.
I’m in love with this stuff. Any chance there are some HD images somewhere on the internet?
Most of what I’ve been able to find is only small jpgs. The crowd scene on a ship is the largest I’ve found. He doesn’t seem to have much of an online presence at all, at least not in English-speaking internet. It might take a speaker of Russian to find more.

ДмитрийБелюкин That seems to be his name written in Russian cyrillic alphabet. If you search for it and set image search to give only large size results it looks like there are some on Facebook, but I don’t have an account so I cannot help you there.
He is also a member of the Russian Academy of arts:
