‘Flutter’ Part 1: A Drawing Tutorial Video

Tuesday, April 17th, 2018

For this months post I’ve created a behind-the-scenes of my latest oil painting on copper, called ‘Flutter’.

In this first 8-minute video we get down and dirty with graphite (literally), talking you through the thought process that goes into the preliminary stages of a painting for me. Then we take the prelim drawing to the next level with powdered graphite and Silver Leaf.

Stay tuned for the second video when we do it all again, but on copper. (And we poke it with sharp pointy things!)
