Lots of Sketches

Last year, I realize I lost my drawing skills. I spent to much time painting and I forgot how to draw. So I tried to practice more. It’s probably one of the reason I do more cartoon stuff now, I did this sketches without references (except one, I think).

Creativity and Well-Being: Creativity Hangovers

It's no secret to anyone that's been following Muddy Colors awhile that I am really deeply interested in the psychology around why people become artists, and how becoming a "professional" "full-time" artist affects that. For example, I've written posts on the...

Short Take: Rim Light

During my classes online, I’m asked by students over and over again, ‘show me how I can improve my paintings.’ Besides needing to get better at drawing, paint mixing and application, composition, and value control-- handling light is the most overlooked aspect of...

Cut Flowers Prologue

I've been working away at Chapter 3 of my comic Cut Flowers, but while that's cooking I did a 2-page prologue to give readers a little more about our ghost, Jamie. I hope you enjoy these!

Great work, I love the almost xray looking one with the white lines.
Serge, I just went to look online for a book or two of yours but I can only find one on amazon. Your .fr site was blocked here at work as a “malicious site”. Had to check it on my phone and there were only prints for sale 🙁
I'm probably not the only one here who would love to have a book of all these drawings.

These are fantastic. I love seeing perfect pencile work. Paintings are great, but there's something wonderful about great drawings.

I'm learning to speak Chinese because I believe it's the only way to really learn about China. When I was searching for a place to learn to speak Chinese, I called several schools. Hanbridge was the best because they had excellent teachers and a very friendly and welcoming spirit . I really appreciate the opportunity to learn here and would recommend Hanbridge to others.
