Oil pastels are one of the best digital brushes ever made. But don't you find the responsiveness of pastels in the last two Painter versions a bit weird? Incredible piece, btw.
Fantastic piece! When I bought your Centaur video I was amazed to watch how easily you transformed shapes, and how perfectly textured features appeared just by covering other strokes. Great picture.
Awesome step by step, man. I've always wanted to check your process out, it's always fascinating to see how others work. Thanks for sharing it with us all.
Justin, I've got to ask you about those marks on the left side of your canvas in the last image. Are those 'test' marks of color you're using in your painting? Also, did you use a little texture overlay for the background mountain?
Love the looseness of your line art. Where you have taken Frazetta, Jones' and Kley's line quality(assuming you have studied them?) is fantastic.
It's great to see such a powerful yet different progress than Greg's how to come to a conclusion. It's also interesting to see the different styles you carry in your tool bag. Comparing this to your Greenlantern work which is fantastic as well.
Stoked to see your work after a brief pause since your last website update.

Awesome stuff! I had never tried painter's oil pastels but they seem really nice to use. Will experiment with them in my own work
Thanks for sharing.

Nothing short of incredible. I love it!
You and G. Manchess should do a piece together.

Awesome ! thanks !
Wow, masterful, aspirational. No need to worry about following Greg.
in your centaur video, i saw you strategically use the glow tool for lightening stuff – did that fall out of your favor?
