If you’re anywhere near New York City this Wednesday, June 6th, you must stop by the Society of Illustrators Third Floor Hall of Fame Gallery for a drop-dead gorgeous show of one of America’s greatest illustrators, David Grove.

David Grove: An Illustrated Life opens with a relentless stream of the best of the best of his masterful paintings. From book cover art like Captain Blood to movie poster work like Never Cry Wolf and Something Wicked This Way Comes, this is the greatest concentration of the artist’s most powerful work in one phenomenal show.

Over sixty pieces are on display, in conjunction with the release of his book of the same name that spans David’s career from his passionate beginnings in Paris and London, to his superstar fame in San Francisco where he resides today.

The opening starts at 6:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public. The show will hang from June 5th to August 18th.
