Tales from the Wilder Forest Kickstarter

By Justin Gerard

Friend and fellow MuddyColors contributor Cory Godbey is running a wonderful little Kickstarter for a project that I am very jealous of.  It is called Tales from the Wilder Forest. A Collection of fantastic little bonfire short stories by Cael Jacobs which Cory is currently illustrating.

The Kickstarter has already hit (and more than doubled) its original goal and is now taking the last of the orders for the project. You should check it out.  It may be the only way to get a hold of the books. And it ends April 15.  THAT IS TODAY. TODAY IS LITERALLY THE LAST DAY.  Leave now and check it out on the Kickstarter page.

Justin, Thanks for the heads up.

Question – How much do you think Kickstarter is going to help Illustrators and artist create there own work and be viable and independent?

What are the risks and the rewards?

It seems like more and more artists are using it as a tool to show their Life's work.

Do you think there could be an over load of artists books? I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

I think I'm going to have to start looking at Kickstarter on a regular basis because if I didn't see this post I would not have known about this book.

It makes me wonder how may other small print run books are out there that never see the light of day because no one knows about them.

Thank you, look forward to reading and seeing the book, sorry for all the questions -very curious about the way the web is allowing self publications.
