The Adrienne Barbeau animated catwoman is also stylish (talking about the black outfit, not the grey one). It's just a little too simple I think.
On the other side, I dont even WANT to try the Halle Berry Catwoman movie.
The costume design just sucks TOO bad. Never in my life to I want to see this movie. >:(

People that don't mention Michelle Pfeiffer frighten the hell out of me.
mmm I can't decide. I think they all put a unique spin on cat woman, in their own way. If it was in terms of art direction I'd be more inclined to choose Michelle Pfeiffer from batman returns.
I loved Julie Newmar as a kid. I also hated the silly version of Batman at the time. But now I'm leaning to Ann Hathaway. She actually seemed a great match for Batman.
Michelle ma belle. Although Julie Newmar had the biggest impact on me. As a kid I thought she was not real. Too perfect. Androidish, alienish. Turns out so did TV. My Living Doll, where she played a robot and Twilight Zone where she played Satan.
Michelle played it sexy and hot but a bit scary and dangerous, too. Perfectly done and my secret crush for years and years. Anne does a much better job than I thought she would and I give her big, big kudos. But I must say, that now my all time favorite is Grey DeLisle as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. She nails the vocals perfectly, sultry and temptress yet powerful and strong. And dang is she sexy as all can be, even if she is computer generated.

Michelle Pfeiffer was the best Catwoman because she is by far the best actress. She elevated that role and made it her own. The scene in the department store where she shows the two “typical male” security guards who is really in charge by snapping the heads off manniquins and then springs out of the store and blows it up is great. While I like Penguin (other then the needlessly dark/violent spin put to the character by Burton/Devito) she should have been the only villian in the picture, ala Nicholson's Joker.
Julie Newmar was good, but because of the purposely silly nature of the series you cant take the character too seriously.
Eartha Kitt. It's all about her voice. She's the only one you can close your eyes, listen to her talk and sing, and picture Catwoman.
Michelle Pfeiffer. Hands down.
Julie Newmar. There is no other Catwoman.
Julie Newmar was awesome and to me the best. She will always be who I think of when someone says Catwoman. I appreciate what each of the actors brought to the role (except Anne Hathaway haven't seen TDKR yet) but for me it will always be Julie Newmar.

I think we can all agree that Halle Berry is the absolute -worst- rendition of Catwoman, ever. Seriously, what Production Manager thought that dumping cat woman's CATsuit was a good idea?

Eartha Kitt. The 60s Batman series may have been terrible but her voice has always seemed to be the essence of Catwoman to me.
michelle pfeiffer was cool… but she was not catwoman at all…so maybe for a character called “the mad lady in a cat costume” ok… but for the real sexy thieve catwoman really is, id go for hathaway no doubt

Halle Berry is soo beautiful! but that Catwoman movie is awful, if I'd choose for beautiness I'll choose Halle or Julie Newmar but I think Hathaway got the essence of Catwoman in the last Batman movie.

Julie Newmar will be the best – ever. Second would have to go to Anne Hathaway, then Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Hale Berry. But Julie, such a mix of sex and innocence, and wanting to be appreciated by her! There will never be another like her – ever.
