March 22, 2023 -      This is the post that many have asked me to write for a long time. Color is such a personal aspect of painting. I’d thought perhaps my way of painting and using color might not be the right way for someone to learn. It’s definitely not the ultimate way to use color. Why? Because there is no ultimate way to use color. There’s no ultimate palette either. No pigment, no brand, no rules regarding how you use color to make pictures.
