Inspiration time!
For this month’s post I decided to highlight a few artists that you may or may not have seen before. Certainly you will be familiar with some of these but perhaps not all. Take for instance Hilma af Klint, who some credit as the first abstractionist, though her work was of a spiritual, mystic nature there is evidence that she was a generally accomplished painter (see the landscape) before diving into the more esoteric art that was so unusual for her time. Of course there’s Bosh, likely one of the first “Dark Artists” but originally much of the work we would call Dark today was just religious cautionary tales in the past I suppose.

Some artists in this list are inspirational because of their method others because of content and of course some are both. I’ve limited this post to 2d but I find that a great deal of my inspiration comes from 3d work as well but that’s a post for another day.
Inspiration posts are of course the easiest posts to make. I could spend all day looking at art online and have come very close to doing that on more than a few occasions. I’ve held this post to 10 different artists’ images and links to further explore if you wish.

It’s awesome to look at stuff that inspires you, ’cause it feels like picking your brain a little, and it helps to see some of where all the amazing stuff you do comes from! I’m glad I catch the last couple instagram lives, the things you’ve been sharing and talking about (like this article) is invaluable. This Solyaev guy is haunting, reminds of vania zouravliov!
