The Starting Bloq Ep 15: Influences

with Travis Lewis, Stephen Green and Eric Wilkerson

A lot of creative people I know started out copying the work of someone else. As novices, they found their way by walking in the footsteps of another. It’s an easy trap to fall into. And yet, over time, those same creatives eventually got bored being a second-rate “whomever,” and shed that influence like an old skin.

Today’s pod is all about who and what influences us as creatives: other artists, art movements, movies, cartoons, books, etc. My guests Travis, Stephen and Eric open up about the artistic forces that shaped them and made them the great picture makers they are today.
