Allrighty folks, now for something completely different. Inks! Well actually these two cards for Magic The Gathering are Acrylic Ink on gesso panel. Sounds familiar from me right? But the catch this time is these are special cards for the game that will be printed in pure black and white on foil cardstock. Again, pure black and white. No gradients- which if you follow me you know how much I rely on gradients. Hell I teach painting ‘Gradient Theory’. So this was quite a challenge to get overlapping forms to read without the use of any middle values or gradients.
